Role Purpose
Fintech initiatives fail more often due to poor execution models than poor ideas. This role exists to define, govern, and continuously refine the operating and delivery models that enable fintech platforms to scale predictably and sustainably.
The Fintech Delivery & Operating Model Director sits between strategy, technology, risk, and execution—ensuring that fintech ambitions translate into repeatable, controlled delivery outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
1. Operating Model Design

Define end-to-end operating models for fintech platforms, including decision rights and accountability structures.
2. Delivery Governance

Establish delivery frameworks covering prioritisation, dependency management, and execution cadence.
3. Cross-Functional Alignment

Align product, engineering, compliance, and operations around a single execution model.
4. Performance & Execution Insight
-
Track delivery effectiveness, execution risk, and operational bottlenecks.

Recommend structural improvements to enhance speed and reliability.
Ideal Professional Profile

12+ years in fintech delivery leadership, platform operations, or large-scale digital programmes.

Strong understanding of how fintech platforms behave under scale and regulatory pressure.

Ability to balance flexibility with discipline.

Comfortable leading remotely across multiple workstreams and time zones.
