Role Overview
Data is the strategic core of fintech innovation. This role is for a leader who can design and scale enterprise-grade data platforms that transform financial data into actionable intelligence.
You will oversee the development of data pipelines, analytics platforms, and reporting systems that support decision-making across lending, payments, risk, and customer engagement.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and manage end-to-end data platforms, including ingestion, processing, and storage
- Build real-time and batch data pipelines for financial transactions and customer data
- Enable advanced analytics for risk modeling, fraud detection, and customer insights
- Collaborate with data scientists to deploy machine learning models at scale
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with financial data regulations
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for business intelligence and performance tracking
Technical Stack
- Data Engineering: Spark, Kafka, Hadoop
- Databases: SQL, NoSQL, data warehouses
- Programming: Python, Scala
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- Analytics Tools: Tableau, Power BI
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 9+ years in data engineering or analytics within fintech or financial services
- Strong expertise in large-scale data systems and distributed computing
- Experience with financial datasets and transaction processing systems
- Leadership experience managing technical teams
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with real-time analytics and streaming data
- Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment (MLOps)
- Familiarity with data governance and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
