Role Overview
Oman is scaling its digital finance infrastructure, with a growing need for robust cybersecurity, data protection, and risk governance frameworks. The Remote Fintech Cybersecurity & Risk Governance Specialist will develop strategies and deploy security systems to protect financial platforms, payment gateways, blockchain solutions, and digital banking ecosystems from evolving threats.
This role requires deep expertise in cybersecurity, digital risk management, and compliance enforcement, with a mandate to safeguard the trust and integrity of Oman’s fintech sector.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies for digital banking and fintech platforms.

Oversee risk governance frameworks for payments, blockchain, and wealthtech ecosystems.

Conduct threat assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.

Guide startups and financial institutions on cyber compliance best practices.

Ensure alignment with Oman Central Bank guidelines and international security standards (ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS).

Deploy AI-driven fraud detection and real-time monitoring systems.

Provide cybersecurity awareness training to ecosystem participants.
Qualifications & Expertise

10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, fintech systems, or financial risk management.

Strong knowledge of digital banking infrastructure, encryption, and fraud prevention.

Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Risk Management.

Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH) are highly valued.
