An advanced digital finance ecosystem in Qatar is actively recruiting a Fintech Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to strengthen cyber defense capabilities supporting large-scale payment infrastructures, transaction processing systems, digital wallet ecosystems, and financial technology operations.
This role offers a unique opportunity for cybersecurity professionals passionate about protecting modern financial systems from cyber threats, operational vulnerabilities, transaction fraud risks, and emerging attack vectors targeting fintech environments.
The selected candidate will operate within a highly dynamic cybersecurity operations environment focused on real-time threat detection, payment infrastructure resilience, fintech platform protection, and operational cyber governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fintech security systems for indicators of compromise, transaction anomalies, unauthorized activities, and cyberattack attempts.
- Manage cybersecurity operations affecting payment gateways, mobile banking applications, digital wallet systems, merchant acquiring infrastructures, and cloud-hosted financial services.
- Investigate security alerts, suspicious transaction activities, phishing attempts, ransomware risks, and network intrusion incidents.
- Coordinate incident response activities during security breaches, payment system compromises, and fintech infrastructure disruptions.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security reviews across fintech applications, APIs, servers, cloud platforms, and transaction processing environments.
- Assist in strengthening identity and access management procedures, endpoint protection strategies, and transaction authentication mechanisms.
- Collaborate with fintech infrastructure engineers and software development teams to implement secure configuration standards and security remediation controls.
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation including threat intelligence reports, incident logs, vulnerability reports, and compliance records.
- Support compliance readiness for PCI-DSS, fintech governance standards, and regional cybersecurity regulations.
- Participate in cyber resilience initiatives involving disaster recovery planning, security awareness programs, and business continuity testing.
- Recommend improvements to fintech cybersecurity posture through continuous monitoring and operational risk analysis.
Professional Requirements
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Security, or related fields.
- 4–8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC environments, fintech security administration, or payment infrastructure protection.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, cloud security, endpoint protection, and security monitoring technologies.
- Experience working with SIEM tools, firewalls, anti-malware platforms, vulnerability scanners, and fintech security monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of payment security standards and fintech operational risk controls.
- Familiarity with digital transaction ecosystems and financial technology infrastructures.
- Strong troubleshooting and cyber incident investigation skills.
