The Fintech Customer Onboarding & KYC Specialist ensures that every customer is verified accurately while maintaining an excellent user experience.

This role is central to balancing compliance requirements with customer satisfaction in a digital financial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer onboarding processes, including identity verification and documentation review
  • Perform KYC checks in line with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and escalate high-risk customers or suspicious profiles
  • Maintain accurate records of customer data and verification outcomes
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory adherence
  • Improve onboarding workflows to enhance efficiency and user experience
  • Provide support for customer queries related to onboarding and verification

Day-to-Day Scenario

  • Reviewing new customer applications and verifying submitted documents
  • Conducting background checks using internal and external systems
  • Communicating with customers to resolve verification issues
  • Updating onboarding systems with accurate and complete information
  • Monitoring onboarding metrics such as approval rates and processing times

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in KYC, onboarding, or compliance within fintech or banking
  • Strong understanding of AML/KYC frameworks
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Good communication and customer handling skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with onboarding platforms and verification tools
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills
  • Understanding of digital financial services
