Role Overview

The API & Open Banking Integration Engineer plays a central role in enabling secure, scalable, and compliant connections between fintech platforms and financial institutions. The role focuses on building and maintaining APIs that support seamless financial data exchange and payment initiation.

Departmental Responsibilities

Engineering & Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs for fintech services
• Integrate with banking systems and third-party providers
• Ensure high availability and performance of integration layers

Open Banking Enablement

• Implement open banking standards and protocols
• Support secure access to financial data
• Ensure compliance with regional open banking frameworks

Testing & Deployment

• Conduct API testing and validation
• Support deployment pipelines and system updates
• Troubleshoot integration issues and bugs

Security & Data Protection

• Implement encryption and secure authentication mechanisms
• Protect sensitive financial data
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with product and operations teams
• Document API structures and integration processes
• Provide technical support for integration partners

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4–8 years of experience in API development or fintech engineering
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity with financial systems and open banking
