Role Summary
As a Financial Operations & Settlement Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring that all financial transactions processed through the platform are accurately settled, recorded, and reconciled. This role is essential for maintaining financial integrity and operational reliability in a high-volume fintech environment.
You will be responsible for bridging operational execution with financial accuracy, ensuring that all stakeholders—from internal teams to external partners—operate with confidence in transaction outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Settlement Management
- Oversee daily settlement processes across payment channels including cards, bank transfers, and digital wallets
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement with partner banks and financial institutions
- Monitor settlement cycles and resolve any delays or discrepancies
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform detailed reconciliation between internal systems and external partners
- Investigate and resolve mismatches in transaction records
- Generate periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Operational Efficiency
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to settlement workflows
- Support automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and reduce manual effort
- Maintain clear documentation of processes and controls
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with banks, payment processors, and internal finance teams
- Support audits by providing accurate transaction records and documentation
- Ensure smooth communication across all operational touchpoints
Candidate Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in financial operations, settlement, or reconciliation
- Strong understanding of payment cycles and financial workflows
- Experience with financial systems, spreadsheets, and reconciliation tools
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
