Role Definition
The Financial Intelligence Data Scientist will develop advanced analytical models to detect, predict, and mitigate financial anomalies within defense-related fintech ecosystems.
This role emphasizes data-driven intelligence, leveraging machine learning and statistical modeling to identify risks, fraud patterns, and irregular transaction behaviors in high-security financial environments.
Functional Scope
Data Analytics & Modeling
- Build predictive models for fraud detection and anomaly identification
- Analyze large-scale financial datasets to uncover hidden risk patterns
- Develop scoring systems for transaction risk classification
Machine Learning Implementation
- Design and deploy ML algorithms for real-time financial monitoring
- Optimize models for accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Continuously retrain models based on evolving threat landscapes
Data Infrastructure
- Work with structured and unstructured financial data sources
- Integrate analytics pipelines with secure fintech platforms
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with Qatar regulations
Technical Requirements
- Programming: Python, R, or similar analytical languages
- ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
- Data Tools: SQL, Spark, Hadoop ecosystems
- Experience with real-time analytics and streaming data environments
Experience Profile
- 4–8 years in data science, preferably within fintech, banking, or security domains
- Strong understanding of financial transaction data and fraud typologies
- Proven ability to translate data insights into actionable intelligence
