Role Overview

This executive-level role will provide strategic direction and technical leadership in open banking frameworks, API-driven ecosystems, and instant payment infrastructures designed for the Saudi Arabian market. The position requires extensive knowledge of digital banking modernization, financial interoperability, ISO 20022 standards, and cybersecurity architectures.

The EVP will collaborate with regulators, financial institutions, and technology providers to build scalable, secure, and globally aligned digital payment ecosystems, ensuring Saudi Arabia strengthens its position as a regional fintech leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and rollout of instant payments platforms and real-time settlement systems.

• Architect API standards and open finance ecosystems for fintech-bank collaboration.

• Lead the deployment of AML/KYC automation solutions and fraud monitoring capabilities.

• Align new infrastructures with global compliance requirements (Basel III, FATF, G20).

• Develop strategies for cross-border payments interoperability and CBDC integration.

• Engage stakeholders across banks, fintechs, and sovereign entities to drive adoption.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in digital payments, core banking transformation, or open finance strategy.

• Expertise in instant settlement, real-time payments, and API orchestration.

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science; MBA or PhD preferred.

• Strong ability to navigate regulatory frameworks and financial innovation agendas.

• Track record in scaling national or regional fintech infrastructures.
