This appointment is designed for a senior fintech authority responsible for conceptualizing, governing, and continuously evolving large-scale digital payments and settlement ecosystems. The role operates at the convergence of transaction engineering, systemic resilience, and financial infrastructure strategy, shaping how value moves across modern digital economies.

The incumbent will function as a payments systems intellectual steward, defining not merely how payment platforms operate today, but how they remain extensible, compliant, and resilient over multi-decade horizons.

Core Strategic Accountabilities

• Architect end-to-end payment processing, clearing, and settlement frameworks supporting real-time, deferred, and cross-border transaction flows

• Design intelligent transaction routing, settlement prioritization, and liquidity-aware orchestration layers

• Define architectural standards for API-driven payment ecosystems, modular switching layers, and scalable settlement engines

• Oversee principles governing system availability, failover design, transaction finality, and operational continuity

• Shape long-term strategies for payments modernization, infrastructure abstraction, and platform interoperability

• Act as a senior authority on transaction risk, throughput scalability, and systemic stress resilience

Advanced Technical & Domain Expectations

• Deep expertise in payment rails, switching platforms, settlement models, and reconciliation frameworks

• Proven experience designing high-availability, low-latency, cloud-native financial systems

• Strong command of transaction monitoring, audit traceability, and financial control mechanisms

• Ability to translate regulatory and operational constraints into coherent, future-proof system designs

Leadership, Governance & Influence

• Serves as a principal strategic advisor to senior financial and technology stakeholders

• Establishes architectural governance and long-horizon design principles across distributed teams

• Mentors senior engineers and architects in payments philosophy and infrastructure thinking

Salary Structure (USD – Remote, Saudi-Anchored)

• Base Annual Salary: USD 155,000 – 190,000

• Payments Architecture Leadership Allowance: USD 20,000 – 30,000

• Performance-Linked Variable Component: Up to 20%

• Total Annual Compensation Potential: USD 190,000 – 245,000
