Role Overview
The Executive Lead for Digital Assets Infrastructure & Financial Systems Engineering is a senior role focused on the design, stability, and long-term evolution of digital asset and tokenized financial infrastructure. Operating fully remotely while based in Bahrain, this position requires an expert capable of aligning distributed ledger systems, custody frameworks, and financial controls into a cohesive, enterprise-grade architecture.
This role carries responsibility for both technical depth and strategic foresight, ensuring that digital asset infrastructure remains resilient, compliant, and institutionally scalable.
Core Responsibilities

Architect and oversee digital asset infrastructure, including ledger systems, custody models, and transactional control layers.

Define system standards for security, access control, auditability, and resilience across digital asset platforms.

Integrate risk monitoring, transaction analytics, and operational intelligence into asset infrastructure layers.

Lead infrastructure planning for scalability, fault tolerance, and cross-platform interoperability.

Establish governance models for digital asset lifecycle management and infrastructure change control.

Collaborate with compliance, legal, and risk professionals to ensure regulatory alignment across jurisdictions.

Lead distributed engineering and infrastructure teams in a fully remote environment.

Provide executive-level reporting on infrastructure health, security posture, and strategic investment priorities.
Required Background & Expertise

Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, or Financial Engineering.

10–16 years of experience in financial systems engineering, digital assets, or complex fintech infrastructure.

Deep technical knowledge of distributed ledger technologies, secure infrastructure design, and cloud-native systems.

Proven experience operating within regulated financial environments.

Strong leadership capability in remote, high-accountability roles.
