Role Overview

This executive leadership mandate shapes Bahrain’s next era of digital-asset innovation by creating institution-grade blockchain architecture standards, multi-asset orchestration frameworks, and cross-ecosystem governance models. The Executive Head will define long-range strategies that extend digital asset adoption across financial services, capital markets, and real-time settlement infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

Institution-Level Digital Asset Architecture

• Engineer enterprise blockchain frameworks supporting settlement tokens, digital asset custody flows, tokenized deposits, and institutional trading venues.

• Define high-assurance interoperability models connecting layer-1, layer-2, and permissioned blockchain environments used by regulated financial institutions.

• Design digital asset lifecycle orchestration covering issuance, compliance, transfer, collateralization, and liquidation pipelines.

Market Infrastructure & Regulatory Harmonization

• Develop compliance-embedded models aligning with Bahrain’s supervisory requirements, international digital asset standards, market integrity protocols, and risk-exposure controls.

• Lead the creation of market data engines integrating on-chain telemetry, trading signals, liquidity measures, and risk analytics.

Strategic Ecosystem Development

• Build frameworks for institutional DeFi, enterprise smart-contract governance, and hybrid market structures merging traditional finance with digital asset technologies.

• Provide strategic direction on cross-border digital asset corridors, multi-region settlement rails, and global interoperability requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• 12–15 years in blockchain architecture, digital asset strategy, or institutional financial technology.

• Exceptional fluency in distributed ledger engineering, digital asset frameworks, and capital-market infrastructure.

• Proven leadership delivering regulated digital-asset programs.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance automation, and high-assurance financial systems.
