Role Overview
The Executive Director will lead Bahrain’s evolution into a globally recognized hub for RegTech, ensuring compliance infrastructures that meet the highest international benchmarks. The position will focus on the integration of machine learning, blockchain-enabled audit trails, and advanced identity verification systems into the regulatory and supervisory landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Design scalable RegTech platforms that enhance AML, KYC, and counter-terrorist financing frameworks.

Develop supervisory technology (SupTech) solutions for real-time monitoring of financial ecosystems.

Guide the digital onboarding of institutions and customers through biometric and zero-knowledge proof-based technologies.

Establish interoperability standards for RegTech solutions across GCC jurisdictions.

Partner with regulators, fintech startups, and academic bodies to strengthen Bahrain’s RegTech ecosystem.
Ideal Candidate

12+ years in compliance technology, digital banking, or regulatory innovation.

Advanced qualifications in Law, Finance, or Data Science.

Deep knowledge of FATF guidelines, GDPR, and GCC-specific compliance frameworks.

Experience in designing AI-driven risk and compliance systems for global financial institutions.
