Role Summary
Saudi Arabia is investing heavily in its leap from conventional fintech to the immersive finance frontier, where Shariah-compliant banking merges with the metaverse economy. This role leads the architectural design of an Islamic digital bank native to 3D virtual ecosystems—a first-of-its-kind Islamic financial service entity that functions across virtual cities, mixed-reality workspaces, and AI-governed DeFi environments, all while maintaining rigorous compliance with Islamic jurisprudence.
Core Objectives

Architect the technical backbone of a full-spectrum Islamic banking platform within metaverse environments, ensuring all operations (deposits, lending, investments) are aligned with AAOIFI and IFSB standards.

Develop immersive 3D banking interfaces for customers interacting via VR headsets, AR glasses, or spatial computing browsers, while ensuring privacy and financial safety within immersive spaces.

Integrate digital identity and AI-guided mufti interfaces for real-time Shariah advisement during financial transactions.

Collaborate with Saudi regulators to sandbox new Shariah-compliant metaverse banking models within SAMA and CMA innovation clusters.

Design smart contracts that enforce Islamic contractual structures (Murabaha, Musharakah, Mudarabah, Ijarah) within an immersive, tokenized environment.

Ensure alignment with Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) regulations and digital twin infrastructure powered by NEOM, Red Sea Project, and Diriyah ecosystems.

Construct AI-driven auditing systems that validate every virtual transaction for both financial legitimacy and Shariah compliance.
Candidate Profile

15+ years in Islamic banking, fintech infrastructure, or XR (extended reality) financial UX design.

Experience developing 3D or spatial financial applications with Unity, Unreal Engine, or WebXR.

Mastery of Shariah finance instruments and digital smart contract equivalents (e.g., Solidity, Cairo, DAML).

Familiarity with Saudi Arabia’s financial inclusion, immersive commerce, and digital currency plans.

Strong interdisciplinary mindset across Islamic law, financial compliance, game theory, and virtual UX/UI.
