This role represents a top-tier architectural and governance mandate within the global fintech ecosystem, designed for an individual capable of conceptualising, governing, and continuously evolving enterprise-scale financial technology platforms operating across multiple jurisdictions. While fully remote, the position is strategically aligned with Kuwait’s expanding digital finance ambitions and capital market modernisation initiatives.
The Executive Director will function as the ultimate architectural authority across complex fintech platforms encompassing digital payments, financial middleware, data orchestration layers, and platform interoperability frameworks. The mandate extends beyond technical design into long-term governance, scalability doctrine, and systemic resilience, ensuring platforms remain adaptable, compliant, and globally competitive.
Core Responsibilities

Define and enforce enterprise-level fintech architecture standards spanning payments infrastructure, data platforms, API ecosystems, and cloud-native financial systems.

Establish platform governance models addressing scalability, system integrity, operational continuity, and technology lifecycle management.

Architect modular fintech ecosystems capable of supporting high-volume transaction processing, multi-currency flows, and cross-border settlement operations.

Lead architectural risk assessments covering system dependencies, cyber exposure, operational resilience, and technology obsolescence.

Collaborate remotely with senior engineers, platform strategists, compliance specialists, and external technical advisors.

Produce authoritative architectural whitepapers, multi-year technology roadmaps, and board-level briefing materials.

Serve as the escalation authority for complex system design decisions and platform evolution strategies.
Required Professional Profile

14+ years of experience in fintech architecture, financial systems engineering, or enterprise platform governance.

Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, event-driven platforms, and high-availability financial infrastructure.

Proven leadership at principal, chief architect, or executive technology level.

Strong command of global fintech regulatory expectations as they impact system design and platform governance.

Exceptional ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
Salary Structure (Kuwait-Aligned, Remote)

Base Annual Salary: USD 190,000 – USD 240,000

Executive Performance Bonus: USD 30,000 – USD 55,000 annually
