Role Summary

This role will guide the long-term strategic roadmap for digital banking innovation, open finance implementation, and cross-border transaction modernisation. The Executive Director will be responsible for aligning fintech transformation with Qatar Central Bank initiatives, while leveraging cutting-edge technology stacks including AI, blockchain, and cloud-native digital infrastructures.
Core Responsibilities

Define a comprehensive digital finance vision for Qatar in line with regional and global trends.

Architect scalable, API-first financial platforms supporting open banking, digital ID, and embedded finance.

Lead multi-country collaborations to enhance financial interoperability and accelerate fintech adoption.

Integrate AI-driven compliance engines and advanced data analytics for risk, fraud detection, and personalization.

Advise regulators, policymakers, and stakeholders on digital economy enablement strategies.
Candidate Profile

Master’s or PhD in Finance, Technology Policy, or Systems Architecture.

15+ years in fintech transformation, digital banking, or payment systems strategy.

Proven record leading multi-jurisdictional financial innovation projects.

Deep knowledge of Qatar’s financial regulatory environment and global best practices.
