Strategic Role Overview:
The Executive Director of Fintech Risk Architecture, Controls & Platform Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring structural integrity, control effectiveness, and systemic confidence across advanced fintech platforms operating in Bahrain and the wider GCC.
This role focuses on embedding risk discipline, assurance frameworks, and intelligent control mechanisms into fintech platforms from design through scale. The executive ensures innovation is underpinned by robust governance, operational confidence, and regulatory alignment.
Operating fully remotely, the role interfaces with senior technologists, platform leaders, and regulatory stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Design enterprise-grade risk and control architectures for digital finance platforms and payment systems.

Establish assurance frameworks covering platform resilience, operational continuity, and control effectiveness.

Lead implementation of intelligent monitoring and analytics-driven control systems.

Define executive KPIs for platform integrity, incident resilience, risk exposure, and regulatory readiness.

Align assurance frameworks with Bahrain and GCC regulatory expectations.

Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and operations teams to embed controls by design.

Act as senior authority on fintech risk governance and platform assurance strategy.
Professional Profile:

15+ years’ experience in fintech risk, platform assurance, operational resilience, or governance leadership.

Deep expertise in digital finance control frameworks and large-scale platform oversight.

Strong understanding of Bahrain’s fintech positioning and GCC regulatory environments.

Proven executive leadership in remote, high-accountability roles.

Advanced professional or academic credentials in risk, governance, or systems engineering preferred.
