Role Overview

This is a senior executive role targeting a fintech professional with extensive experience in enterprise-scale payments, ledger management, and transaction system governance. The position is fully remote, strategically aligned with Saudi Arabia’s goal of becoming a digital finance hub, and requires oversight across multi-currency, cross-border, and real-time payment systems.

Strategic Objectives

• Design, govern, and evolve enterprise-grade payment and settlement platforms.

• Ensure platforms are resilient, scalable, audit-ready, and regulatory-compliant across GCC and global markets.

• Lead strategic decisions regarding ledger architectures, transaction flows, and infrastructure integration.

• Act as a trusted authority for governance, compliance alignment, and innovation strategy without direct operational ownership.

Core Responsibilities

1. Payments & Ledger Architecture

   • Architect end-to-end transaction, settlement, and ledger systems.

   • Ensure integrity, auditability, and fault tolerance across high-volume environments.

2. Governance & Risk Management

   • Define controls for transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, and exception handling.

   • Embed operational risk mitigation and compliance readiness into system design.

3. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

   • Translate global regulatory requirements into architectural constraints.

   • Ensure platforms are forward-compatible with emerging regulatory frameworks.

4. Innovation & Technology Foresight

   • Evaluate programmable money, blockchain settlements, and cross-border interoperability solutions.

   • Recommend strategic adoption paths for emerging technologies.

Professional Requirements

• 15+ years in fintech architecture, payments infrastructure, or enterprise financial systems.

• Proven record of designing or governing large-scale payment platforms.

• Deep understanding of transaction lifecycles, ledgers, and compliance frameworks.

• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
