Position Summary
The Executive Director of Digital Payment Strategy & Cross-Border Ecosystem Integration will provide strategic leadership in designing, modernizing, and scaling the next generation of Saudi Arabia’s fintech payment infrastructure.
Operating remotely across a global fintech landscape, this executive will architect interoperable, secure, and data-intelligent payment systems that enable frictionless domestic and cross-border transactions aligned with evolving global financial standards.
The role requires exceptional expertise in digital payments modernization, API-based open finance frameworks, and interoperability architecture, ensuring alignment with Saudi Arabia’s national digital economy vision and global financial integration objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic development of cross-border digital payment ecosystems, enabling seamless interoperability between financial institutions, fintechs, and digital wallets.

Oversee the design of real-time payment frameworks, including instant settlement models and tokenized asset transfer protocols.

Establish digital governance structures ensuring compliance with international AML/CFT and ISO 20022 standards.

Develop partnerships with global clearing houses, fintech accelerators, and international payment consortiums.

Drive adoption of data analytics and AI-based transaction monitoring for transparency, resilience, and fraud prevention.

Guide regulatory engagement and policy development to advance regional financial connectivity.
Candidate Profile

12+ years of senior experience in digital payments, fintech infrastructure, or financial systems strategy.

Strong track record of managing cross-border payment innovation initiatives.

Advanced understanding of blockchain-based remittance networks, CBDCs, and open banking APIs.

Deep knowledge of GCC and international fintech regulatory frameworks.

Exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Economics, or Computer Science.

Certification in Payment Systems or Blockchain Strategy.

Exposure to G20, IMF, or BIS financial standardization projects preferred.
