Role Overview

This high-level role leads the full-spectrum modernization of the UAE’s digital financial infrastructure, synthesizing real-time financial technology engineering, regulatory-aligned digital architecture, and nation-scale platform orchestration. The Executive Director oversees large-format innovation programs that elevate the UAE’s digital economy through advanced payments, data governance, resilience engineering, and intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design next-generation digital financial infrastructure blueprints, integrating multi-rail payments, open-finance-driven data flows, and cross-institution orchestration frameworks.

• Lead the engineering of hyper-resilient transaction ecosystems, ensuring fault-tolerance, real-time failover logic, and cryptographically verifiable integrity across all digital rails.

• Oversee UAE-aligned digital identity integration, multi-factor digital trust frameworks, and identity-driven financial authentication structures.

• Develop governance systems covering data sovereignty, security posture assurance, operational resilience models, and central regulatory reporting automation.

• Implement large-scale modernization of enterprise payments including instant payment rails, ISO 20022 migration strategies, intelligent routing, and multi-currency settlement modeling.

• Direct AI-enabled infrastructure optimization, leveraging predictive load modeling, real-time analytics, risk orchestration engines, and adaptive capacity provisioning.

• Coordinate with UAE regulatory bodies and fintech councils to align transformation initiatives with national digital finance strategies.

Required Expertise

• 12+ years of advanced leadership in financial infrastructure engineering, digital payments modernization, or enterprise fintech transformation.

• Mastery of distributed systems, enterprise architecture, ISO 20022, cybersecurity frameworks, and financial data governance.

• Strong understanding of UAE fintech regulatory requirements, cross-border settlement structures, and digital economy policies.
