Position Overview
Saudi Arabia is entering a transformative phase in its digital economy, integrating open finance, payments modernization, and fintech innovation into a cohesive national strategy. The Executive Director of Digital Financial Infrastructure Modernization will lead strategic reforms and system architecture across the Kingdom’s evolving digital payments and data ecosystems—defining the architecture of tomorrow’s financial interoperability.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement next-generation open banking and instant payment architectures, harmonized with national financial modernization programs.

Develop data-driven transaction intelligence frameworks leveraging AI, cloud scalability, and real-time analytics.

Establish cross-sector integration protocols between banks, fintechs, and national payment gateways to ensure interoperability and transparency.

Supervise policy alignment with emerging digital finance regulations, AML/CFT protocols, and GCC cross-border compliance mandates.

Lead the creation of a national sandbox environment to accelerate fintech innovation, ecosystem experimentation, and digital onboarding solutions.
Qualifications

12–15 years of leadership in fintech infrastructure, payment modernization, or financial architecture strategy.

Advanced knowledge of open banking APIs, ISO 20022, instant payment systems, and data interoperability frameworks.

Proven ability to design financial platforms integrating AI, cloud-native architecture, and digital identity management.

Master’s or PhD in Financial Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Computer Science.
