Role Overview

The Executive Director of Digital Finance Infrastructure will architect, govern, and evolve Qatar-oriented digital financial systems at enterprise and national scale. The role demands mastery of modern financial infrastructure engineering, including high-throughput payment rails, identity-secure API ecosystems, cloud-native financial compute, and end-to-end compliance automation. The candidate will define long-horizon frameworks that align with Qatar’s digital transformation priorities while ensuring seamless interoperability across regional and global financial corridors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern Qatar-centric financial infrastructure blueprints, including digital payment networks, API orchestration layers, and secure data exchange frameworks.

• Lead integration of next-generation open finance standards, enabling cross-platform financial connectivity and digital identity synchronization.

• Architect scalable cloud-native systems for real-time transaction processing, liquidity modeling, and intelligent operational governance.

• Develop multi-layer compliance automation and real-time risk detection, aligned with Qatar’s regulatory modernization programs.

• Oversee high-level architectural governance across distributed engineering teams deploying enterprise-grade fintech systems.

• Produce strategic infrastructure roadmaps and transformation models supporting Qatar’s digital financial sector evolution.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years in digital finance architecture, payments engineering, or financial infrastructure development.

• Expertise in core financial systems, cloud-native compute, payments orchestration, and data governance.

• Strong understanding of GCC digital finance regulation and international interoperability standards.

• Proven leadership in managing complex, multi-regional fintech engineering programs.

Preferred Competencies

• Experience with tokenized settlement, AI-assisted liquidity routing, or intelligent infrastructure observability systems.
