Overview
The Executive Director of Digital Asset Risk & Governance Frameworks will lead the national and international strategic development of secure, compliant, and scalable digital asset ecosystems in Saudi Arabia’s expanding fintech market. The position focuses on defining robust risk architectures, regulatory interoperability, and governance standards to support digital asset tokenization, custody, and exchange infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Establish comprehensive digital asset governance structures incorporating blockchain transparency, investor protection, and regulatory auditability.

Architect cross-chain interoperability standards to support tokenized assets, stablecoins, and digital securities.

Oversee implementation of advanced AML/CFT frameworks using AI-driven blockchain analytics and real-time transaction intelligence.

Develop risk management models integrating quantitative assessment, digital custody resilience, and smart contract compliance.

Coordinate with global regulators to align governance frameworks with international policy convergence (FATF, IOSCO, and BIS standards).

Lead educational and policy advisory initiatives to position Saudi Arabia as a digital asset governance hub within the GCC.
Required Expertise

12+ years of senior experience in digital asset governance, financial regulation, or blockchain risk management.

Mastery of tokenization frameworks, blockchain auditing systems, and digital custody models.

Proven leadership in cross-jurisdictional compliance, risk architecture, and fintech governance.

Deep understanding of emerging asset classes, decentralized finance ecosystems, and regulatory technology.

Strategic insight into integrating digital assets within institutional-grade financial infrastructures.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate in Financial Regulation, Blockchain Systems, or Risk Analytics.
