Role Overview
Bahrain’s fintech advancement is redefining regional standards in digital asset regulation and financial technology governance. The Executive Director of Digital Asset Governance & Tokenization Strategy will spearhead the development of comprehensive digital asset governance frameworks, enabling secure, transparent, and globally interoperable blockchain ecosystems.
Strategic Responsibilities

Design and govern tokenization frameworks for financial instruments, real-world assets, and payment tokens, ensuring full regulatory integrity and technological scalability.

Establish cross-chain governance models supporting interoperability between public, private, and hybrid blockchain systems.

Lead policy innovation in digital asset regulation, ensuring adherence to FATF, IOSCO, and Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) digital finance directives.

Oversee the creation of smart contract verification systems, ensuring legal enforceability and technical compliance across jurisdictions.

Integrate AI-enabled compliance engines for real-time monitoring, transaction transparency, and automated audit trails.

Define governance protocols for digital custodianship, asset transfer mechanisms, and identity verification within tokenized ecosystems.
Technical & Strategic Expertise

12+ years in blockchain governance, digital asset infrastructure, or fintech regulation.

Deep expertise in DLT policy frameworks, smart contract governance, cybersecurity architecture, and cross-border asset tokenization.

Understanding of Bahrain’s fintech regulatory sandbox, ISO 27001, GDPR, and data sovereignty models.

Proven ability to synthesize technical, legal, and strategic dimensions of digital asset ecosystems.
