The Executive Director of Blockchain Payment Systems Innovation will spearhead the strategic development, regulatory alignment, and technological evolution of Kuwait’s digital payment infrastructure through advanced distributed ledger technologies. This role demands a visionary capable of integrating blockchain scalability, interoperability, and regulatory compliance into cohesive frameworks that redefine cross-border settlements and digital commerce.
Key Responsibilities

Design and oversee blockchain-integrated real-time payment frameworks to modernize domestic and international financial flows.

Lead multi-stakeholder programs aligning banks, fintechs, and payment processors on shared distributed ledger protocols.

Architect tokenized settlement networks incorporating digital fiat initiatives and cross-chain liquidity management.

Establish blockchain interoperability standards harmonized with ISO 20022 and GCC open banking ecosystems.

Guide compliance automation for decentralized payment systems using AI-driven transaction monitoring and smart contract-based audit mechanisms.

Partner with financial authorities to enhance digital asset regulatory architecture, enabling innovation without compromising systemic integrity.
Required Expertise

12+ years in fintech, blockchain architecture, or digital payment systems strategy.

Mastery of DLT interoperability, tokenized payments, and multi-rail settlement infrastructure.

Proven leadership across regulatory engagement, ecosystem orchestration, and technical governance.

Advanced understanding of cryptographic consensus models, digital identity frameworks, and payment tokenization protocols.
