Position Overview
This role is designed for an elite leader in blockchain finance who can guide Qatar’s fintech landscape toward secure, scalable, and institutionally trusted digital asset infrastructures. The Executive Director will oversee the development of tokenized financial instruments, blockchain-based settlement platforms, and next-generation custody models that serve both institutional and retail ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities

Define Qatar’s strategic roadmap for digital asset adoption, with emphasis on regulated DeFi, tokenization of real-world assets, and blockchain-enabled cross-border finance.

Establish governance frameworks for decentralized platforms, ensuring operational resilience and compliance with FATF global standards.

Partner with leading international blockchain consortia and GCC-based financial institutions to advance institutional-grade custody and settlement solutions.

Lead research initiatives into quantum-resilient cryptography and next-gen distributed ledger protocols.

Cultivate Qatar’s digital talent ecosystem through mentorship, thought leadership, and participation in global fintech dialogues.
Qualifications

15+ years in fintech, blockchain, or investment banking with a focus on digital infrastructure.

In-depth expertise in token economics, cryptographic protocols, and custody architecture.

Advanced technical and financial qualifications (PhD preferred but not mandatory).

Track record of shaping large-scale blockchain or DLT initiatives in regulated environments.

Exceptional ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional compliance and institutional partnerships.
