Position Summary

This executive-level role will lead the development of Qatar’s blockchain and digital asset infrastructure, advancing tokenization, institutional-grade custody, and blockchain-based capital market solutions. The position requires an international leader with deep technical fluency and a proven ability to balance innovation with regulatory rigor.

Core Responsibilities

• Define Qatar’s long-term blockchain adoption roadmap, with emphasis on tokenized securities, real-world asset tokenization, and decentralized capital markets.

• Lead the design of institutional custody models that ensure operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and global scalability.

• Establish frameworks for FATF-compliant digital asset exchanges and cross-border blockchain interoperability.

• Guide research initiatives into advanced DLT protocols, quantum-resilient cryptography, and high-performance consensus mechanisms.

• Cultivate Qatar’s blockchain ecosystem through partnerships with regulators, international consortia, and fintech accelerators.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years in blockchain, fintech, or global investment infrastructure.

• Demonstrated expertise in custody architecture, token economics, and multi-jurisdictional regulation.

• Advanced qualifications in finance, technology, or cryptography (PhD desirable).

• Track record of building scalable blockchain solutions in regulated financial markets.
