Executive Director of Advanced Digital Payments & Transactional Platforms – Saudi Arabia
Role Mandate
This executive role is designed for a senior fintech leader tasked with architecting, governing, and scaling next-generation digital payment ecosystems across high-volume, multi-rail transactional environments. The position operates at the intersection of real-time payments, embedded finance, API-driven financial infrastructure, and national-scale digital transformation initiatives.
The role demands strategic ownership of payment modernization frameworks, cross-border transaction orchestration, ISO 20022 adoption, high-availability settlement architectures, and large-scale fintech ecosystem collaboration.
Core Strategic Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design of real-time and near-real-time digital payment platforms, including instant payments, tokenized payment flows, and programmable transaction logic.

Define and govern enterprise-grade payment architecture covering card, account-to-account, QR-based, and API-initiated payment channels.

Oversee transaction scalability, latency optimization, and resiliency strategies across high-throughput payment environments.

Drive interoperability between domestic payment rails and international clearing and settlement infrastructures.

Establish advanced fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and risk-scoring models leveraging AI and behavioral analytics.

Act as the principal authority on payment compliance, licensing readiness, and regulatory engagement related to digital payments.

Build strategic partnerships with fintech infrastructure providers, payment networks, and technology vendors.
Required Executive Profile

15+ years in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure leadership roles.

Deep expertise in real-time payment systems, transaction switching, clearing, and settlement architectures.

Proven experience designing payment platforms at national or regional scale.

Strong command of API ecosystems, cloud-native financial platforms, and event-driven architectures.

Executive-level understanding of payment risk management, operational resilience, and regulatory frameworks.

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering, product, and compliance teams.
Compensation Structure – Saudi Arabia

Base Annual Salary: SAR 900,000 – SAR 1,250,000

Executive Performance Incentive: 30% – 45% of base (annualized)
