Role Overview

This executive position is designed for a senior fintech systems architect responsible for defining and engineering the UAE’s next-generation multi-rail payments ecosystem. The role involves constructing unified digital payments frameworks, orchestrating real-time transaction channels, implementing multi-rail authorization logic, and enabling cross-platform interoperability between banks, fintechs, merchants, and digital financial platforms.

The Director will shape the future of payment modernization across the UAE, ensuring the creation of a high-speed, compliant, data-rich, cloud-native payments architecture.

Core Responsibilities

1. Multi-Rail Payments Infrastructure Design

• Engineer payment rails that integrate instant payments, card networks, QR-based rails, wallet-to-wallet transfers, and alternative digital payment methods.

• Develop intelligent routing engines enabling dynamic settlement, cascading authorization, and adaptive transaction optimization.

• Build ISO 20022-aligned transaction frameworks and multi-entity clearing structures.

2. Digital Commerce Ecosystem Expansion

• Design merchant ecosystem enablement models including subscription billing, tokenized payment flows, recurring payments, and intelligent dispute management.

• Integrate payment systems with e-commerce, super-app ecosystems, digital banks, and cross-border settlement corridors.

3. Compliance, Security & Risk Architecture

• Implement high-trust governance structures covering AML analytics, transaction monitoring, cyber-resilience, data integrity, and secure payment tokenization.

• Engineer regulatory-aligned reporting tools and operational assurance frameworks based on UAE compliance standards.

Required Expertise

• 12–20+ years in digital payments engineering, clearing systems, or enterprise financial transaction platforms.

• Mastery of ISO 20022, real-time payments, fraud analytics, cloud-based payment engines, and multi-rail financial infrastructure.

• Knowledge of UAE payment system directives, digital transformation initiatives, and financial technology integration frameworks.

• Proven track record leading enterprise-wide platform modernization.
