Role Overview
The Executive Director will design comprehensive risk, governance, and compliance frameworks to position Bahrain as a secure and globally competitive fintech hub. This role requires mastery of regulatory harmonization, systemic risk analysis, and digital asset compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Build enterprise-wide fintech risk and governance models covering digital assets, DeFi, and payments innovation.

Ensure alignment with Bahrain Central Bank mandates and global standards (FATF, Basel, IOSCO).

Deploy AI-driven compliance monitoring, transaction surveillance, and blockchain audit trails.

Lead international regulatory dialogue to strengthen Bahrain’s fintech credibility.

Mentor multidisciplinary teams across compliance, legal, and risk strategy.
Candidate Profile

12+ years in risk management, regulatory strategy, or fintech compliance.

Advanced degree in Risk Management, Finance, or Law.

Expertise in blockchain regulation, digital asset governance, and AML/CFT frameworks.

International exposure with proven ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional regulation.
