Role Overview

The UAE is consolidating its leadership as a global hub for digital payment transformation and cross-border settlement innovation. As Executive Director – Global Digital Payments & CBDC Interoperability, you will lead mission-critical programs that integrate central bank digital currencies, tokenized payment networks, and interoperable real-time settlement ecosystems across international markets.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect global CBDC interoperability platforms bridging GCC, APAC, and European settlement frameworks.

• Lead the design of real-time digital payment ecosystems, integrating ISO 20022 messaging and blockchain-based validation layers.

• Develop programmable money frameworks enabling automated treasury operations, trade finance, and SME liquidity support.

• Build AI-driven anti-fraud ecosystems, ensuring systemic resilience and adaptive compliance against global financial crime risks.

• Align with regulators, central banks, and supranational bodies to set global benchmarks for CBDC integration.

Ideal Profile

• 18+ years in digital payments leadership, fintech settlements, or blockchain-enabled payment infrastructures.

• Technical mastery in CBDC frameworks, tokenized cross-border payment corridors, and ISO 20022 integration.

• Proven success in scaling payment ecosystems processing >100M daily transactions.

• Global expertise in regulatory harmonization and central bank collaboration.
