Executive Role Overview
A rapidly advancing financial technology institution in Dubai is seeking a visionary Executive Director – Fintech Product Strategy, Experience Design & Digital Ecosystem Innovation to lead the end-to-end creation of world-class financial products and user experiences across a multi-layered digital finance ecosystem.
This role is built for a leader who understands that fintech success is no longer defined solely by functionality—but by experience, trust, speed, and intelligent design. You will oversee the strategic convergence of product management, user experience design, service design, and customer journey engineering across payments, digital wallets, lending platforms, merchant ecosystems, and embedded finance solutions.
You will be responsible for crafting financial experiences that are frictionless, intuitive, and deeply integrated into everyday life—while ensuring that all products operate within strict regulatory frameworks and financial governance standards.
This is a flagship leadership role where product vision, design excellence, and technological innovation must align to create a transformative financial ecosystem.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Define and lead the overall fintech product vision across digital banking, payments, lending, and embedded finance platforms
- Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management—from ideation and design to launch, scaling, and optimization
- Lead UX/UI design strategy, ensuring seamless, intuitive, and accessible financial experiences across all digital channels
- Design customer journeys for onboarding, payments, account management, lending, and merchant interactions
- Build and scale product design systems, design languages, and interaction frameworks for consistency and usability
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and compliance teams to translate product vision into scalable, secure solutions
- Drive innovation in customer engagement through personalization, behavioral design, and data-driven insights
- Ensure alignment with UAE regulatory requirements, customer protection standards, and financial compliance frameworks
- Define and track product performance metrics including user adoption, retention, conversion rates, and satisfaction scores
- Mentor and lead cross-functional teams across product management, UX research, and design disciplines
- Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI-driven personalization, voice interfaces, and embedded finance ecosystems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in fintech product management, UX/UI design, or digital platform leadership
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale digital products in financial services or technology sectors
- Strong expertise in user-centered design, design thinking, and product strategy
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Deep understanding of digital banking, payment systems, and financial product ecosystems
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience working within regulated financial environments
- GCC fintech experience strongly preferred
