An ambitious fintech organization is seeking an accomplished Executive Director – Digital Payments Strategy to spearhead the evolution of next-generation payment ecosystems across the Gulf region. This executive appointment is designed for a strategic leader capable of transforming digital payment infrastructures, accelerating financial innovation, and delivering scalable payment solutions that redefine customer experiences.
You will partner with executive leadership, regulatory stakeholders, technology architects, and commercial teams to build resilient, intelligent, and globally competitive payment ecosystems while driving sustainable organizational growth.
What You’ll Lead
- Develop enterprise-wide digital payment strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Drive modernization of payment infrastructure, including real-time payment capabilities.
- Lead initiatives involving digital wallets, QR payments, merchant acquiring, and payment orchestration.
- Build strategic roadmaps for payment innovation and customer-centric financial products.
- Oversee payment governance, operational resilience, and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on scalable API-driven payment ecosystems.
- Monitor market trends and emerging financial technologies.
- Lead executive reporting, budgeting, and long-term investment planning.
- Build relationships with payment networks and financial institutions.
- Mentor senior product, operations, and technology leaders.
Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or Business Administration.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in fintech, banking, or payment technology.
- Strong knowledge of digital payment architecture and financial ecosystems.
- Experience leading large-scale transformation programs.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
