The successful candidate will oversee large-scale payment modernization programs, collaborate with regulators, financial institutions, technology partners, and emerging fintech ecosystems, while developing advanced frameworks that support real-time transactions, embedded finance, digital wallets, cross-border payment corridors, and AI-powered financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute national-scale digital payments transformation strategies.
• Lead modernization of payment rails, instant payment systems, and open banking ecosystems.
• Develop frameworks for embedded finance and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
• Drive integration of AI-powered payment intelligence and fraud prevention systems.
• Establish strategic partnerships with banks, fintech innovators, and payment processors.
• Oversee digital wallet infrastructure development and interoperability initiatives.
• Create scalable frameworks for financial inclusion and digital commerce growth.
• Direct regulatory engagement regarding fintech innovation and payment governance.
• Implement advanced payment security architectures and cyber resilience programs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including tokenized assets, blockchain settlements, and programmable payments.
• Lead cross-border payment innovation initiatives connecting GCC and global markets.
• Establish enterprise-wide performance metrics and transformation KPIs.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Finance, Financial Technology, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
• 12+ years of leadership experience in fintech, digital banking, or payments.
• Extensive knowledge of payment networks, card systems, instant payment infrastructures, and open finance.
• Deep understanding of fintech regulations and digital financial ecosystems.
• Proven track record leading complex digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong expertise in AI applications within financial services.
• Experience engaging with regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
