Role Overview
A globally focused financial technology organization serving multiple international markets is seeking an Executive Director of Digital Finance Strategy & Innovation to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of transformative digital financial solutions.
This executive role will focus on driving strategic initiatives, identifying emerging fintech opportunities, and aligning global digital financial operations with market trends, regulatory environments, and technological innovation. The successful candidate will collaborate with product, technology, operations, risk, and compliance teams, ensuring that all digital finance initiatives are scalable, secure, and market-leading.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement a long-term digital finance strategy aligned with global fintech trends

Identify opportunities for innovative financial technology products and services

Align organizational objectives with emerging market needs and regulatory frameworks
Product & Service Innovation

Drive the conceptualization and launch of advanced digital financial products

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design scalable fintech solutions

Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform product development
Operational Oversight

Ensure operational efficiency and risk mitigation in all fintech projects

Oversee cross-functional teams delivering global digital financial initiatives

Establish operational KPIs and monitor performance across international projects
Regulatory & Compliance Advisory

Provide guidance on global regulatory requirements affecting digital finance

Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure all fintech solutions meet standards

Support internal and external audits of financial technology platforms
Stakeholder & Partner Management

Build strategic relationships with international financial institutions, technology providers, and fintech ecosystems

Lead high-level negotiations and collaborations to expand fintech initiatives

Represent the organization at global fintech forums and industry events
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Technology, or a related field

10+ years of senior leadership experience in digital finance, fintech strategy, or financial innovation
-
Proven experience leading cross-border fintech projects or initiatives
-
Strong understanding of emerging technologies, blockchain, digital payments, and AI-driven financial services
Preferred Expertise

Knowledge of GCC and international financial regulations

Experience in product innovation for digital banking or payments

Background in fintech mergers, partnerships, or strategic alliances
