Position Overview
The Executive Director of Digital Finance & Payment Systems will lead the Kingdom’s digital payments transformation, designing interoperable, real-time, and AI-enhanced financial infrastructures. This role is responsible for driving innovation across national payment networks, open banking platforms, and cross-border settlement ecosystems while ensuring regulatory compliance and cybersecurity excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Architect scalable, secure digital payment infrastructures aligned with ISO 20022 and open banking standards.

Integrate AI-driven fraud detection, transaction analytics, and predictive risk models.

Oversee deployment of e-wallets, multi-rail settlements, and instant cross-border remittances.

Collaborate with regulators and financial institutions on governance, compliance, and digital trust frameworks.

Lead the implementation of blockchain or DLT-enabled financial networks.

Define strategic partnerships with fintech innovators for ecosystem expansion.
Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in Financial Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

12+ years of experience in payments, digital banking, or fintech transformation.

Proven expertise in open banking, blockchain-enabled settlement, and cloud-native fintech infrastructure.

Strong leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder fintech projects.
