Position Summary
The Executive Director – Digital Banking & Payment Systems Innovation will lead the design, governance, and evolution of Saudi Arabia’s next-generation fintech payment ecosystem. This position integrates strategic vision with deep technological proficiency to architect end-to-end digital banking infrastructure, open payment frameworks, and real-time financial interoperability aligned with global fintech standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategy formulation and execution for real-time payments, digital wallets, and open API integrations.

Oversee architecture for payment gateways, ISO 20022 messaging, and instant settlement systems.

Define security and encryption standards in accordance with GCC digital finance regulations.

Build frameworks for API monetization and third-party fintech collaboration.

Drive blockchain-based initiatives for cross-border transactions and digital currency experimentation.

Integrate advanced data intelligence models for AML, KYC, and real-time transaction analytics.

Align technology transformation with national financial inclusion and innovation goals.

Manage partnerships with regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and innovation hubs.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Financial Technology, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.

12+ years’ experience in fintech product leadership, digital banking, or payments technology.

In-depth knowledge of ISO 8583/20022, EMV, and open banking ecosystems.

Expertise in cloud-native systems, microservices, and cybersecurity for fintech.

Proven strategic leadership in large-scale digital financial infrastructure programs.
