Role Overview

The Executive Director for Digital Banking & Payment Systems Architecture will lead the design, development, and governance of Saudi Arabia’s next-generation banking and payment infrastructures. This includes real-time payment networks, tokenized settlement platforms, API-first banking systems, embedded finance modules, and AI-enhanced risk monitoring engines. The role demands deep expertise in multi-rail payments, distributed ledger technology, regulatory-compliant architecture, and cloud-native financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect high-availability, low-latency digital banking platforms integrating retail, corporate, and cross-border transactions.

• Design and implement digital wallets, programmable money frameworks, and tokenized settlement networks.

• Oversee AI-driven fraud detection, real-time risk analytics, and compliance automation systems.

• Translate Saudi regulatory mandates, including AML, KYC, and open banking standards, into technical governance frameworks.

• Develop long-term strategic roadmaps ensuring scalability, resilience, and GCC-wide interoperability.

• Conduct performance optimization, capacity planning, and ecosystem analysis.

Required Expertise

• 12+ years in fintech infrastructure, payment systems, or digital banking architecture.

• Deep experience with ISO 20022, multi-rail payment networks, API-first platforms, and cloud-native financial systems.

• Proficiency in AI-driven risk intelligence, cryptography, and regulatory compliance automation.
