Position Overview
The Executive Director – Digital Banking Architecture & Financial Infrastructure will be responsible for architecting the next generation of Saudi Arabia’s fintech and digital banking systems. This position demands visionary leadership to build secure, scalable, and innovative financial infrastructures that enable real-time payments, open banking integration, and AI-driven digital services across institutional and consumer channels.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of national-level digital banking architecture using microservices and cloud-native systems.

Develop frameworks for real-time payments, digital identity verification, and multi-rail settlement networks.

Oversee integration of open banking APIs and embedded finance solutions for third-party fintech ecosystems.

Architect infrastructure supporting cross-border remittances and multi-currency transaction flows.

Implement advanced cybersecurity, encryption, and digital trust models to enhance systemic resilience.

Collaborate with regulators to ensure full compliance with local and international digital finance frameworks.

Drive the adoption of AI-driven analytics for customer experience optimization and risk prediction.

Establish governance structures for fintech partnerships and technology lifecycle management.
Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in Financial Technology, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.

12+ years’ experience in digital banking or payments infrastructure development.

Deep knowledge of ISO 20022, API banking standards, and open finance ecosystems.

Expertise in AI, blockchain, and distributed system architectures.

Strong understanding of GCC financial regulations and technology governance.
