Role Overview

The Executive Director will lead Bahrain’s efforts to build a globally competitive digital asset and tokenized finance ecosystem. This role requires mastery of distributed ledger technologies, digital custody, and tokenized capital markets, ensuring the country’s fintech growth remains compliant, innovative, and internationally integrated.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a national strategy for tokenization of securities, commodities, and real-world assets.

• Oversee creation of institutional-grade custody and blockchain settlement platforms.

• Implement FATF-aligned frameworks for digital asset exchanges.

• Drive collaborations with international blockchain consortia and GCC regulators.

• Lead innovation in smart contract governance, decentralized finance, and digital trust infrastructures.

Candidate Profile

• 12–15 years of senior experience in fintech, blockchain, or investment infrastructure.

• Strong expertise in cryptography, custody models, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.

• Advanced degree in Finance, Law, or Computer Science (PhD preferred).

• Demonstrated leadership in regulated blockchain and capital market projects.
