To spearhead this transformation, the organization is seeking an Executive Director – Cross-Border Payments & Global Settlement Infrastructure.
This role is responsible for architecting a globally connected financial system capable of handling multi-currency transactions, optimizing liquidity flows, and enabling near-instant settlement across jurisdictions. The vision is to replace slow, opaque cross-border processes with transparent, efficient, and programmable financial infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
Cross-Border Payments Architecture
- Design scalable systems for international payment processing and settlement.
- Build multi-currency transaction frameworks with FX optimization layers.
- Develop real-time settlement capabilities across global financial networks.
- Enable interoperability between regional and international payment systems.
- Optimize transaction routing for speed, cost efficiency, and reliability.
Financial Network Infrastructure
- Architect distributed financial networks connecting banks and fintech platforms.
- Design liquidity management systems for cross-border flows.
- Ensure high availability and resilience of payment infrastructure.
- Support integration with global financial messaging systems.
Product & Ecosystem Expansion
- Identify opportunities to expand cross-border financial services.
- Develop new products for remittances, trade finance, and global payments.
- Align infrastructure capabilities with commercial growth strategies.
- Support partnerships with international financial institutions.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international financial regulations.
- Implement anti-fraud and transaction monitoring systems.
- Maintain audit-ready infrastructure with full traceability.
- Manage risks associated with cross-border financial operations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Technology.
- 10+ years of experience in payments, banking, or fintech infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in cross-border payment systems.
- Experience with large-scale financial networks.
- Proven leadership in complex financial environments.
