This role governs how fintech platforms remain stable, compliant, and operationally sound as they scale. The Executive Director of Platform Governance & Operational Integrity defines control frameworks, operational standards, and governance mechanisms ensuring innovation does not compromise systemic reliability.
The position operates above day-to-day operations, focusing instead on control architecture, decision frameworks, and institutional discipline across complex digital finance environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design governance frameworks covering platform operations, controls, and escalation mechanisms

Define operational integrity standards across transaction processing, data handling, and system availability

Establish control models embedded directly into fintech infrastructure and workflows

Oversee frameworks for incident management, resilience planning, and operational recovery

Develop executive-level reporting on platform health, operational exposure, and systemic risk

Advise leadership on governance trade-offs related to speed, scale, and platform complexity

Produce long-term governance roadmaps aligned with international fintech best practices
Required Expertise

15–22+ years in fintech governance, platform operations, or financial systems oversight

Strong background in operational risk, controls design, and platform resilience

Experience governing large-scale, multi-component fintech ecosystems

Exceptional executive communication and policy-design capability

Proven success leading fully remote, globally distributed teams
