Role Overview
The convergence of digital wallets, instant payments, and embedded consumer finance is redefining how individuals interact with money. This role is for an executive leader capable of designing and scaling next-generation wallet ecosystems, integrating payments, micro-lending, savings, and lifestyle financial services into a unified platform.
You will oversee the creation of a holistic consumer finance environment, where financial services are seamlessly embedded into everyday digital interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a wallet ecosystem strategy, including payments, savings, lending, and lifestyle integrations
- Build and scale digital wallet platforms supporting multi-currency and multi-channel transactions
- Integrate with payment networks, merchants, and fintech partners
- Design user-centric financial journeys, ensuring simplicity and accessibility
- Optimize monetization through transaction fees, value-added services, and partnerships
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and consumer protection frameworks
- Track KPIs such as wallet adoption, transaction volume, and user retention
Technical Environment
- Platforms: Wallet infrastructure, payment gateways
- Architecture: Microservices, API-first systems
- Data: Real-time transaction analytics
- Security: Tokenization, encryption
- Infrastructure: Cloud-native environments
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, or Technology (MBA preferred)
- 12+ years in payments, fintech, or digital banking
- Strong expertise in wallet ecosystems and consumer finance
- Experience managing large-scale digital financial platforms
- Proven leadership in strategic and operational roles
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with super-app or multi-service ecosystems
- Knowledge of financial inclusion strategies
- Familiarity with cross-border wallet integrations
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen
