Executive Director – Digital Finance Systems Architecture, Multi-Layer Ledger Design & Global Transaction Governance (Dubai, UAE)
Strategic Purpose
This role exists to conceptualize, architect, and govern complex digital finance systems that operate across jurisdictions, currencies, and transaction models. The Executive Director will be responsible for defining how financial truth is recorded, reconciled, and audited within large-scale fintech environments.
Rather than focusing on a single product or technology, the mandate centers on systemic integrity: how ledgers, transaction engines, data pipelines, and governance mechanisms interact to create reliable, scalable, and regulator-ready financial platforms.
Primary Responsibilities

Design multi-layer ledger architectures, including operational, analytical, and reconciliation ledgers, ensuring consistency and traceability across all layers.

Define global transaction governance models, covering authorization logic, lifecycle management, reversals, adjustments, and exception handling.

Architect event-driven financial systems capable of processing high-volume, low-latency transactions with deterministic outcomes.

Establish institutional standards for financial data integrity, auditability, and long-term record preservation.

Provide executive-level architectural guidance on platform scalability, cross-border operability, and systemic risk containment.

Lead and mentor senior architects, engineers, and financial systems specialists in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
Required Experience & Expertise

15+ years in fintech architecture, core banking platforms, or large-scale financial systems engineering.

Deep expertise in ledger theory, transaction processing models, and distributed financial systems.

Proven experience designing systems that support millions of transactions with strict accuracy guarantees.

Ability to operate comfortably at board-level strategic discussions while remaining technically authoritative.
