THE MISSION

The Engineer will operate at the intersection of blockchain engineering, payment technology and distributed systems, contributing to platforms designed for secure and scalable digital transactions.
This is a deeply technical role for an engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems involving throughput, consensus, interoperability, transaction integrity, security and system resilience.
ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and optimise blockchain-based financial applications.

Design transaction-processing services for high-volume environments.

Build APIs connecting distributed-ledger infrastructure with financial platforms.

Develop secure integration layers between payment systems and blockchain networks.

Optimise transaction throughput, latency and system reliability.

Implement monitoring and observability across distributed systems.

Conduct architectural and code-level security reviews.
-
Collaborate with product, infrastructure, cybersecurity and data teams.

Develop automated testing frameworks for mission-critical transaction systems.
-
Investigate complex technical incidents and implement permanent solutions.
-
Contribute to engineering standards and platform-modernisation initiatives.
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
The role may involve technologies and concepts across:
Blockchain Architecture
Distributed ledgers, consensus mechanisms, transaction validation and smart-contract ecosystems.
Backend Engineering
Microservices, APIs, event-driven systems and distributed applications.
Cloud Infrastructure
Containerisation, orchestration, scalable compute and cloud-native architectures.
Financial Systems
Payment processing, settlement, reconciliation, transaction monitoring and digital wallets.
Security
Cryptographic controls, secure development practices, key-management concepts and infrastructure security.

Experience with high-availability or transaction-intensive platforms.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
INDICATIVE PACKAGE
QAR 35,000–55,000 monthly, depending on experience, technical specialisation and role scope, with potential performance incentives and additional benefits.
