Role Overview:
Oman’s fintech sector is at a pivotal moment, transitioning toward a fully integrated open finance ecosystem that connects banks, fintechs, and consumers through real-time APIs and embedded financial services. The Director of Open Finance Infrastructure & Embedded Payments will spearhead the design and orchestration of Oman’s digital transaction backbone, enabling frictionless connectivity, security, and financial inclusion through advanced interoperability frameworks.
Core Responsibilities:

Architect Oman’s national open finance infrastructure, integrating digital payment systems, e-wallets, and cloud-native financial platforms.

Oversee the development of API orchestration layers for real-time financial data exchange and embedded finance operations.

Introduce AI-driven fraud intelligence, behavioral analytics, and compliance automation to enhance ecosystem resilience.

Coordinate partnerships with regulators, telcos, and fintech startups to accelerate payment innovation and infrastructure adoption.

Develop digital identity and consent management frameworks aligned with GCC data protection standards.

Lead integration of ISO 20022 real-time payment standards and blockchain-enabled settlement technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

10–14 years of experience in digital payments, fintech architecture, or financial data systems.

Academic background in Financial Technology, Systems Architecture, or Data Science.

Proven ability to scale open API ecosystems, real-time transaction systems, and AI-assisted financial operations.

Strong understanding of digital interoperability frameworks, data privacy regulations, and global payment innovation trends.

Leadership capability to manage multi-sector partnerships and national fintech transformation programs.
