Role Overview
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of economic growth, yet they often face barriers to accessing finance. This role is for a strategic leader who can design and scale digital lending solutions tailored to SME needs, combining technology, risk management, and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SME lending strategy, including digital loan products
- Design credit assessment frameworks tailored to SME financial profiles
- Build systems for fast loan approval and disbursement, leveraging automation
- Collaborate with partners to expand SME access to financial services
- Monitor portfolio performance, including default rates, loan growth, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations and risk management standards
- Identify opportunities to integrate value-added services such as invoicing, payments, and financial analytics
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
- 10+ years in commercial banking, SME finance, or fintech lending
- Strong understanding of credit risk, underwriting, and portfolio management
- Experience designing financial products for SMEs
- Proven leadership in strategic and operational roles
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with digital lending platforms and automation tools
- Knowledge of alternative data for SME credit scoring
- Familiarity with embedded finance for business platforms
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
