Position Overview
The Director of Digital Payments Infrastructure will provide strategic and technical leadership in building the next generation of payment ecosystems across the UAE. This role focuses on establishing scalable, interoperable, and regulation-aligned digital payment systems that drive financial inclusion, accelerate transaction modernization, and foster innovation across consumer and institutional segments.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-level payment frameworks supporting open banking, instant settlements, and cross-border interoperability.

Architect cloud-native digital payment platforms with emphasis on scalability, cybersecurity, and real-time transaction analytics.

Develop standardized digital wallet ecosystems integrating QR, NFC, and tokenized payment models.

Lead modernization of payment messaging and integration with ISO 20022 standards.

Collaborate with financial authorities to align infrastructure with UAE digital transformation initiatives.

Oversee AI-driven fraud detection, AML analytics, and risk control mechanisms within payment pipelines.

Build strategic partnerships with fintechs, PSPs, and financial service providers to enable frictionless digital transactions.
Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Systems Architecture.

10+ years of experience in fintech or payments infrastructure roles, ideally within GCC or global markets.

Deep understanding of blockchain-enabled payment processing, cross-border settlements, and distributed systems.

Proficiency in microservices architecture, API design, and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Excellent leadership and regulatory collaboration capabilities.
