Director of Digital Asset Infrastructure & Tokenised Finance Systems

Location: Manama, Bahrain

Engagement Model: Full-Time | Senior Infrastructure Leadership | On-Site / Hybrid

Strategic Context

This role governs the technical and operational foundations of digital asset and tokenised finance ecosystems. The Director is responsible for ensuring that digital asset platforms are engineered with institutional-grade security, deterministic settlement logic, and regulatory-aligned governance models, while remaining agile enough to support evolving financial instruments and use cases.

The position is deeply technical and strategic, bridging distributed ledger infrastructure, digital custody systems, transaction lifecycle governance, and financial market interoperability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee digital asset infrastructure layers, including custody systems, token issuance frameworks, transaction validation mechanisms, and settlement engines.

• Define governance and control structures for digital asset lifecycle management, including issuance, transfer, reconciliation, and reporting.

• Lead the design of secure key-management and custody architectures aligned with institutional risk expectations.

• Ensure interoperability between tokenised finance platforms and traditional financial systems.

• Establish resilience, disaster recovery, and cyber-risk mitigation frameworks specific to digital asset environments.

• Engage with regulators and market participants to ensure structural transparency and auditability.

• Guide senior engineering teams while setting long-term infrastructure vision.

Expertise & Profile

• 13+ years in fintech infrastructure, digital asset systems, or financial platform engineering.

• Deep technical fluency in distributed ledgers, cryptographic systems, and transaction validation models.

• Strong understanding of market infrastructure, custody risk, and system governance.

• Executive-level communication and strategic planning capabilities.

Compensation Architecture (Annual)

• Base Salary: BHD 120,000 – 160,000

• Infrastructure Performance Bonus: BHD 30,000 – 55,000

• Digital Asset Innovation Incentive: BHD 25,000 – 45,000

• Total Annual Package: BHD 175,000 – 260,000+
