Position Overview
The Director of Blockchain Finance Strategy & Digital Asset Innovation will define and execute Kuwait’s strategic roadmap for blockchain adoption and digital asset development. The position requires a combination of fintech innovation, decentralized systems architecture, and regulatory foresight to shape tokenization models, smart contract frameworks, and cross-chain financial infrastructure capable of supporting future-ready digital economies.
Key Responsibilities

Develop national-level blockchain finance frameworks integrating tokenization, DeFi, and smart contract governance.

Oversee strategic implementation of digital asset custody, compliance, and cryptographic trust models.

Architect interoperable blockchain networks enabling cross-border asset mobility and liquidity aggregation.

Lead research and development on CBDC interoperability and programmable payment systems.

Collaborate with policymakers and global institutions to define compliant digital asset strategies.

Integrate AI, blockchain, and advanced analytics to enhance transparency, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.

Manage education and capacity-building programs for blockchain innovation and financial inclusion.
Qualifications & Experience

Master’s or PhD in Blockchain Engineering, Financial Systems, or Distributed Computing.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in blockchain ecosystems or digital asset infrastructure design.

Expertise in Ethereum, Hyperledger, and interoperability standards (Layer-1, Layer-2, and cross-chain protocols).

Deep understanding of digital asset regulation, cryptographic systems, and token economy design.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-country fintech initiatives.
